Investors Forum presented bids for clean energy production

Foreign and domestic-sized enterprises yesterday submitted bids to develop the country's projects on clean energy


The presentation was made at a forum organized electrical by the American Chamber of Commerce.

The Department of Commerce of the United States was made available to give advice to U.S. and other countries interested in developing a clean energy projects in the Dominican Republic.

Among the companies included the Atlantis Solar USA vendors, a U.S. firm in the country represented by Mr. Salvador Atlantis Solar USA.

Is interested in implementing solar energy projects, as well as the marketing of innovative electrical equipment, low power consumption.


Atlantis Solar USA said they noted a positive change in the investment climate with regard to the production of clean energy. Specifically cited the tax incentives established by
Law 57-07 for such business.
 
In turn, the company Chibas, which is based in Haiti, offered his services in technology consulting and research for the development of projects on energy production from biomass.

Specifically, with regard to the development of varieties of plants to produce oil used as fuel, said Gael Pressoir, exposing representing Chibas.

 This has extensive experience in the development of genetic varieties of a plant called jatropha is being grown in Haiti, which produces an oil used as fuel.

 In the forum "Clean Energy 2011", the Government, through the Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) and the National Energy Commission (CNE), elaborated on the incentives offered by the country for the implementation of energy projects clean.

 Enrique Ramirez, president of the CNE said that the implementation of projects to produce clean energy 57-07 Act provides tax exemption on imported machinery and equipment. Exemptions include income tax, customs and ITBIS.

The forum's opening words were spoken by Alejandro Prieto, president of the American Chamber of Commerce.

He stressed the importance of the forum as a way of establishing a space for dialogue to try to increase the use and production in the country of clean and analyze the feasibility of initiatives in this regard.

In turn, William Malamu, executive vice president of the Chamber, expressed optimism that as a result of this forum will derive business opportunities in developing projects that promote clean energy.
